Unlock your past with the assistance of the Public Record Office Victoria (PROV). Every year thousands of people visit PROV’s North Melbourne and Ballarat Reading Rooms to explore records created by the State Government and various authorities including courts, municipalities and schools. Dating back to the 1830s, the records can provide fascinating information about your ancestors.
As part of the Ballarat Heritage Weekend, there will be a talk about researching local and family history with PROV and staff will be available at an information stall to answer questions about researching your family history.
