Soldier's Hill Arts Walk


The Art Walk is an initiative of the Soldiers Hill Artist Collective (SHAC) to exhibit the works of Soldiers Hill artists. The walk this year showcases works of art by fourteen artists working in various disciplines. These are exhibited in eleven locations - five private homes & studios, and six shopfront locations. The walk is self guided and takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour at a leisurely pace.

Where: Various locations in Soldier's Hill, maps available in local cafes or online.
When: Art Walk Launch: Thursday 11th May 7 pm, Seymour's Hotel.  Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th May, Saturday 20th - Sunday 21st May, Saturday 27th - Sunday 28th May. Home studios will be open each weekend from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Some home studios will be open midweek by appointment only. Shopfront exhibitions can be viewed at any time.

Mysteries in the Buninyong Botanic Gardens


Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful hidden treasure, the Buninyong Botanic Gardens, which are more than 150 years old, and the historic court buildings that date from the beginnings of legal administration on the Ballarat Goldfields. Expert guides will highlight important early trees, and recreational structures like the old swimming baths. Afternoon tea and plant sales at the Old Police Station building. Meet in Cornish St., at the Old Court House.
